Authentic culinary journey across the archipelago

BEJANA, located at The Ritz-Carlton, Bali, celebrates Indonesian cuisine in a dramatic clifftop setting overlooking the Indian Ocean. The space’s indoor and outdoor setting allows patrons to enjoy the views, sunshine, and star-filled nights from nearly every angle in the dining room and terrace. Named after a traditional Indonesian cooking vessel, Bejana presents a unique mix of relaxed elegance and sophisticated luxury.
The dinner-only restaurant serves a wonderful selection highlighting traditional Indonesian and Balinese specialties. Classic dishes are showcased with a menu that consist of curries, stirfrys, satays, and seafood. Its signatures include Soto Pesmol that has a very delicate taste combining the flavors of the freshest seafood and Indonesian spices, vegetarian favorites, such as gadogado or meat preferences, like rendang daging. But, for a true culinary journey of Indonesia’s royal degustation, the rijsttafel, a multi-course meal served with rice and sambal is guaranteed to impress. Bejana is also home to the Culinary Cave, a gourmet learning centre where guests can experience the rich heritage of Indonesian cooking through the hands of Head Chef Made and learn the secrets of the Spice Islands. Hailing from Kintamani in Bali’s mountainous heartland, Chef Made brings his flair for flavor to Bejana following over 20 years of experience in prestigious kitchens across Bali and Australia
