THIS TACO JOINT first opened its door for Mexican food fans in 2012 initially situated in the Panglima Polim area, and now can be found in Pelaspas Dharmawangsa. Taco Local is an Indonesian-Mexican taqueria, serving locally-inspired dishes wrapped in tortilla to tailor to the local market. It is founded by Sebastian Subakti with Heru and Dito Kartowisastro. Within four months after it opened, Taco Local opened its second branch in Bali. Famed for its Taco Tuesday promotion, the tacos served in this joint are varied. Its most ordered taco, the Tacos Al Pastor, consists of pork shoulder and grilled pineapple; burritos pollo, which is a cumin chicken, pico de gallo, sour cream, guacamole, salsa roja, cheese,
frijoles, and corriander lime rice; the twice-cooked beef tongue of Tacos Lengua is a crispy pork rind, pico de gallo, guacamole, and salsa roja; and Tacos Carnitas - a roast pork-based taco with pico de gallo, crispy pork rind, pineapple, guacamole, and salsa roja. Taco Local serves not only tacos, but also enchiladas, quesadillas, burritos, and a weekend menu. Their nachos consist of three different types: nachos con salsa, nachos el local, and nachos con chili. To pair the Mexican food, Taco Local also gives patrons a Cocktail option of the Mexican classics: Margarita, Pinnacolada, and Tijuana Iced Tea.
